The 2016 Holden Spark was unveiled at The Motor Shows conducted respectively at Seoul and New York. Spark 2016 has a completely redesigned look with more focus on performance, refinement, and efficiency level. The micro 5-Door hatchback model also comes with a host of safety as well connectivity features.

2016 Holden Spark hatchback comes with a longer wheelbase and lower roof line, promising higher aerodynamic performance level without showing any sort of compromise while designing the headroom in any of the seating rows. Body structure is stronger with greater feeling of refinement and control with low engine noise. Makers have claimed this new model will be enriched with better driving position that promises higher level of comfort. Be it the upgraded cabin materials, high density seat foaming, or better quality fabrics, everything has been worked with through higher attention and minute detailing.
2016 Holden Spark is said to be rich in features, some of which will be included for the first time in this series. Some of the tools to be included are MYLINK Infotainment System with 7” Colour Touch Screen, Four Speaker Sound System, Bluetooth Connectivity with Audio Streaming, Powered Front Windows, Height Adjustable Steering Wheel, Remote Operated Central Locking, Front Fog Lights, Air Conditioning, Power Adjustable Mirrors, Trip Computer, Immobilizer, and Fold-able Rear Seats with 60/40 Arrangement Ratio.
Some more extraordinary features include Dot-Matrix LCD Instrumental Panel, Rear Vision Camera, and Rear Parking Sensors. For international markets, Holden Spark 2016 model will also integrate the Wi-Fi Hot Spot feature.
2016 Holden Spark – Engine Details
2016 Holden Spark version comes with 1.4 L 4-Cylinder Petrol Engine and offers 5-Speed Manual Transmission. Advanced models will feature additional Dual Range Continuously Variable Transmission. This ECOTEC engine features Aluminium Block, Double Overhead Camshafts, Counter Rotating Balance Shafts, Integrated Exhaust Manifold, and Aluminium Cylinder Head. The engine is fitted with Low Friction Oil Pump, Low Friction Camshaft Drive, and Low Friction Piston Rings.
Front Wheel driven Holden Spark 2016 comes with McPherson Strut Suspension at the Front and Torsion Beam at Rear Axle. Holden manufacturing unit will tune the suspension according to local condition for Australian models. Peak Power is estimated around 73 kW. Fuel Economy (combined) being assured is 34 mpg.
Much focus has been given to ensure latest model of Spark comes loaded with rich security features. Standard safety tools include Front Knee Airbags, Full Length Curtain Airbags, Dual Front Airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Front Seat Belts with Load Limiters and pretensions, and ABS. Advanced models will feature Lane Departure Warning, Side Blind Spot Alert, and Forward Collision Alert.
2016 Holden Spark will have a longer dimension when compared to the earlier model. Length wise, it will be around 3675 mm, Width and Lower Length measurements will be around 1698 mm and 1482 mm respectively. Also, Wheelbase is longer this time with a measurement of 2385 mm.

2016 Holden Spark will be released tentatively around first quarter of 2016. The price will be around $16,000.
